Small Business Startup Consultant

As a Small Business Startup Consultant in Great Harvest, you will work with new bakery owners to take their dream of owning a Great Harvest Bread store from idea to reality. You will coach them every step of the way from designing their store to being on the ground with them, training their crew at the business opening.

Consulting: Work with a new franchise owner from signed franchise agreement to the first month of operation of their new store. The coaching involves sharing and convincing new owners of the benefits of implementing best practices and helping them navigate all the details of a small business startup using the proven Great Harvest methods and systems. Experience in marketing, accounting (understanding numbers), and retail are a bonus. Consulting is about 60% of this job.
Training: Ensure new owners are prepared for bakery ownership and operation. We facilitate 3 training schools on site, in Dillon, teaching sandwich making, bread making and bakery operation. This person will be a coach for at least 2 of these schools every other month. We are also on the ground with new owners for 3 weeks during opening to train the new crew in bread making, sandwich making and customer service; and to make sure the operation is running smoothly. Travel to these locations to participate in training is required. Training is about 40% of this job.
Travel: We are a travel company with locations in 40+ states around the nation. The position requires up to 75 days of travel per year.
Dillon, MT: This position is located in Dillon, Montana. We are a vibrant college town surrounded by public lands for all kinds of outdoor activities and world-class fishing. Requests to work outside of Dillon will not be considered.
Physical requirement: The ability to lift up to 60 pounds, and be on your feet for long hours, in a hot bakery with reasonable accommodation.
